Controller

As Controller for H2M Offshore Accommodation, an operating company of the global PE backed Centurion Group, you oversee all aspects of the financial function in its broadest scope. Your responsibility includes accounting, reporting, financial & business control. You are a trusted advisor for the Dutch team and you will support the expected significant growth of the company over the next couple of years. H2M is a project driven organization and operates internationally. You will be managing financial flows and transfer pricing within the EU and across the globe. You will report to the VP Finance - UK, Europe & Caspian Region of Centurion in Aberdeen and the management of H2M.

Main responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate preparation and submission of various reports & trackers (Flash, Cashflow, Capex, AR, monthly management accounts, variance) including analysis, interpretation, communication and participation in review calls & presentations.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual P&L forecasting.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses
• Preparation of quarterly internal Business Review presentations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of annual and quarterly statutory reports including liaison with the external audit team.
• Preparation of tax compliance including liaison with external advisors
• Enhance efficiency by reviewing and refining processes, controls and accounting systems, contributing to continuous improvements
• Lead and support various projects and ad hoc requests.

You are self-starting, accurate, reliable and involved. The knowledge and experience you've gained in previous positions have prepared you to excel in this broad and autonomous role. You fit well in a small and hands-on company, where everyone rolls up their sleeves and pitches in wherever needed. But you also understand the dynamics of an international PE backed organization and the associated fast paced environment and reporting requirements. Your commercial awareness helps to support the business in making key decisions and understanding the implications of those. As the only finance professional in the company, you take ownership and a hands-on approach, handling all financial responsibilities yourself.

You have:

• A Bachelor degree in (business) economics, finance or accounting
• At least five years of relevant experience under Dutch GAAP
• Strong analytical, financial and project administration/control skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English

You are:

• Hands-on, not only focussing on tactical and strategic tasks, but also willing to handle the operational work involved
• IT savvy (accounting systems, Excel, SAP)
• Professional and proactive, keen on delivering excellent work

H2M is a highly specialized company, operating in a niche market; fabricating, marketing, selling and leasing lightweight offshore accommodation and blast-resistant modules, meeting the stringent requirements of the renewable energy, oil & gas and maritime industries.

In 2023, H2M was acquired by Centurion, a global group of companies supplying critical rentals and services to the oil & gas, infrastructure, power, environmental and renewable energy industries. It’s headquartered in Aberdeen, operating 89 facilities in 12 countries across the world with almost 2500 employees. Since 2018 Centurion is backed by SCF partners. The Group drives growth by building on its strong market position and customer relationships, broadening its services into more technical, efficient and environmentally sustainable offerings, both through organic growth as well as acquisitions.

The Dutch H2M team is growing as well. Currently there are approximately 10 employees, based in a bright and spacious, newly built office and production facility in Montfoort. The business culture is pragmatic and informal. The team is close-knit and enjoys a drink on Friday afternoon to kick off the weekend.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary including holiday payment up to 100K (full-time), depending on experience and education
• 25 vacation days + 3,5 “ADV” days
