Business Unit Controller
Job description
As the Business Unit Controller for Allseas Fabrication & Yards, you own all financial aspects, driving economic optimization through close collaboration with the business. You enable data-driven decision-making and create robust financial plans, budgets, and thoughtfully developed business cases to support strategic goals. You will be supported by Finance colleagues, work together with other Business Unit Controllers in the Finance Business Partnering team. You will report to the Manager of Finance Business Partnering at the HQ in Switzerland.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate the business units’ strategy into financial plans and control it via performance KPIs, value-added reporting to the management
- Drive financial cycles (budget, forecast, actuals) in close collaboration with budget owners, focusing on project cost efficiency, overhead, CAPEX, and inventory
- Portfolio management: you estimate, challenge, and control project budgets in close collaboration with the Fabrication unitDeliver data-driven insights, analytics, and business cases to support decision-making
- Challenge the status quo, innovate and implement cost and cash efficiencies to drive business results
- Manage the revenue recognition activities in line with accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee monthly & quarterly closing activities in close collaboration with the Financial Accounting department
- Develop dynamic dashboards and reports

You have:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (FP&A, project cost controlling, business control)
- Good understanding of a heavy-asset project-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills in English and (conversational) Dutch

Allseas Fabrication & Yards specializes in delivering high-quality, custom-fabricated steel structures, equipment, and components. The company offers advanced fabrication, assembly, and modification facilities. It is located in Heijningen, with direct access for sea-going vessels. The permanent staff consists of around 40 employees, supplemented by contractors when needed due to a high volume of projects.
As a Business Unit Controller, you will be an integral part of the Finance function at Allseas. You'll join a dynamic, diverse, and international Finance Business Partnering team of 10 professionals, each responsible for different business units. The team collaborates closely in a supportive and open environment, where questions are encouraged, colleagues offer valuable insights, and knowledge is shared freely.
As Finance Business Partner for Allseas Fabrication & Yards, you are based in Heijningen three days per week. One day you join the Finance Business Partnering team in Delft and one day you can work from home.
The location in Heijningen is challenging to reach by public transportation

- Salary up to 85K (incl. holiday pay) per year
- Bonus arrangement
